Semen Analysis (Sperm Test)
This test is recommended to be conducted after at least 3 days of sexual abstinence. For accurate results, the sperm sample must reach the laboratory within 1 hour. Ideally, the sample should be provided in a facility close to the laboratory, preferably within a designated area at the testing lab itself. A semen analysis evaluates sperm count, motility, morphology, the ratio of normal to abnormal sperm, the amount of motile sperm, semen volume, liquefaction time, the presence of leukocytes, color, fructose levels, and pH, among other characteristics.
